Still got that Tacoma sitting around? Bed rusted out, clutch slipping, or maybe you just grabbed a newer truck and this one's been parked ever since. Either way, call Pick and Pay Orlando. We'll take a look, throw out a number, and haul it off, whatever kind of shape it's in.
📞 (888) 781-2436 Get Your Offer NowTalk to any mechanic around here and they'll say the same thing about a used Toyota Tacoma. These trucks just don't quit. Engines run for ages, the cab holds up better than most, and resale numbers stay decent long after other trucks have already tanked. That's the whole reason half of Orlando keeps driving theirs until it practically begs to be retired.
Doesn't mean they last forever though. Wheel bearings and leaf springs are usually the first things to go, especially on a truck that's spent years hauling or towing something heavy. Shocks wear out not far behind those. If you've got a second gen Tacoma, one built somewhere between 2005 and 2015, take a flashlight to the frame at some point, particularly if the truck spent its early life up north. Florida roads don't get salted in winter, so rust isn't as brutal here, but a truck with a cold weather past is still worth checking.
There's also the AC compressor, which tends to give up once a real Orlando summer gets a hold of it. Alternators start dying around 100,000 miles more often than owners expect. And the exhaust system rusts through faster than you'd guess, thanks to all this humidity working on it year round. Throw in an oxygen sensor or two failing along the way, usually flagged by a check engine light and worse gas mileage, and pretty soon you've got a truck that's cost more in little repairs than most people realize.
None of that is a big deal by itself. But once three or four of these show up in the same year, plenty of owners just decide they're done chasing it.
Plenty of the trucks that come our way aren't even broken. Somebody upgraded, or they inherited a second Tacoma and don't need two. If that's you, skip the whole marketplace circus. No posting pictures, no random guy wanting a Sunday test drive, no lowball texts from someone who ghosts you the next day.
We look at your actual truck, not a chart. Cab style, trim, engine, mileage, whatever you tell us is wrong or right with it. The fully loaded double cab has more value than a basic stripped-down version even at the same mileage figure, and we consider this rather than viewing all Tacomas as equal.
Dead battery, blown transmission, bed full of holes, doesn't matter. Our own truck comes out and gets yours loaded up, and you're never billed a cent for it. If it won't roll on its own, our equipment handles that too.
Lost the title somewhere over the years? Happens all the time, more than people think, and it usually isn't a dealbreaker. Bring a valid photo ID and we'll sort out what's needed together. Still owe on a loan? Tell us the payoff figure when you call, and we'll figure out how that fits into what we offer.
A lot of those buy your truck sites aren't anywhere close to Orlando. You fill out a form and your info gets sold off to whoever wants the lead that day, could be three states away. That's not us. We're Central Florida through and through, our drivers know these roads, and we can usually get to your Tacoma quicker than some out of state outfit ever could.
We've hauled these trucks out of job sites, from behind repair shops after somebody got bad news, from driveways where they hadn't budged since the last storm blew through. Wherever yours is parked, odds are we can reach it, and we'll give you a real window for pickup instead of a vague promise that drags on for days. Looking to sell a different vehicle too? My Tacoma has some rust on the frame. Will that stop you from buying it?
No. Frame rust shows up a lot on older Tacomas around here, especially ones with northern roots. It gets factored into the offer, but it won't take your truck off the table.
Is a stick shift Tacoma harder to sell to you?
Not at all. Manual or automatic, we'll buy either one the same way.
The clutch is going out. Does that matter?
It's a common issue on stick shift trucks and it's not something that keeps us from making an offer.
Do you look at the trim level when pricing a truck?
We do. A higher trim with the same mileage as a base model usually brings a stronger number, since it's simply worth more.
Is there a limit on how many miles a truck can have?
Not really. We've bought Tacomas fresh off a lease and ones that have crossed a quarter million miles.
Mine was in a wreck a while back. Can you still buy it?
Yes. Just tell us about the accident when you call so we can price the truck fairly based on what actually happened.
If your used Toyota Tacoma has reached the end of the road, or you're just ready to see it go, give Pick and Pay Orlando a call. We'll name a fair number and get it out of your way fast.
